Après qu'une immense lame de fond a englouti un luxueux bateau de croisière en plein milieu de l'Océan Atlantique, un petit groupe de survivants se forme et lutte pour s'en extraire. Alors que le vaisseau plonge à tout allure au fond de l'océan, ils vont bientôt faire face à l'inimaginable et prendre des décisions vitales au cours de leur combat désespéré pour regagner la surface de l'eau.
