Zestien jaar geleden ging LAPD detective Erin Bell (Nicole Kidman) undercover in de Californische woestijn om te infiltreren in een corrupte bende geleid door de gewelddadige Silas. Waneer een van hun gewaagde bankovervallen fout gaat, wordt Erin ontmaskerd maar ontsnapt Silas. Zestien jaar later is Silas terug; groter, machtiger, gevaarlijker en met een uitgekiend plan om de grootste bank te overvallen. Dit keer zal Erin hem stoppen.


