A Tale of Shemroon

Born in Tehran in 1979, Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi lives and works between France and Iran. He is graduated from Le Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Artswhere he developed an aesthetic combining cinema and contemporary art. He made two narrative shorts, Lower Heaven (2017) and Cavalière (2020), which were screened in numerous festivals (including TIFF, Clermont-Ferrand, FIFIB, Premiers Plans Angers, Winterthur, Mecal). Selected in development at La Fabrique Cinémas in Cannes and at Ateliers Premiers Plans in Angers, Chevalier Noir is his first feature-film.
