With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.

Op 21 mei 2025 is het zover: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning gaat in première, het langverwachte laatste hoofdstuk van een van de meest succesvolle en iconische actiefranchises ooit. Wat in 1996 begon met Brian De Palma’s stijlvolle en zenuwslopende verfilming van de gelijknamige tv-serie uit de jaren '60, groeide uit tot een wereldwijd fenomeen waarin Tom Cruise zich definitief vestigde als ultieme actieheld. Met elke nieuwe film plaatste de reeks de lat hoger: grotere stunts, ingenieuzere complotten en steeds explosievere actie.
