Joaquin, better known as ‘El Chapo’, is a subordinate trying to stand out to become the boss. After being captured, Miguel Angel leaves Chapo in charge and gives him the position of boss.
Episode 2

Chino visits Ramon to give him information about the whereabouts of ‘El Chapo’ in exchange of five million dollars. Ramon goes after ‘El Chapo’ and turns the airport into a battlefield.

The Mexican government recruits Amado to help control the escalating violence. The Avendaño brothers cross a line.
Episode 4

Ramón brings in a group of sicarios in a hunt for El Chapo. A mass shooting at an airport arouses suspicion and a prominent cardinal dies.

The government offers a reward for the capture of El Chapo, and he is forced to go into hiding while making plans to flee the country.
