Osama en Dara zijn twee Syriërs die elkaar ontmoeten in het
opvangcentrum van Kapellen. Osama schrijft een theaterstuk over zijn ervaringen als politiek vluchteling en droomt ervan het te kunnen spelen in een echt theater. Ondanks de moeilijkheden waarmee ze in België geconfronteerd worden, blijven ze glimlachen. We ontdekken het verhaal achter de glimlach, een queeste van humane veerkracht om geaccepteerd te worden in een nieuwe samenleving.
