'Get Out' volgt een koppel, Chris en Rose, dat het punt in hun relatie heeft bereikt om elkaars familie te ontmoeten. Rose nodigt Chris vervolgens uit om een weekend door te brengen met haar ouders. In eerste instantie denkt Chris dat het vreemde gedrag van de familie te maken heeft met pogingen hoe om te gaan met hun interraciale relatie, maar gedurende het weekend doet hij enkele verontrustende ontdekkingen die hem naar een andere waarheid leiden.
