Robert, Theresa en hun dochter Old Dolio wonen in een kaal bedrijfspand en houden hun hoofd financieel boven water door middel van oplichting en zwendel. De verhuurder eist echter dat ze binnen een paar dagen hun huurachterstand van 1500 dollar voldoen. Old Dolio heeft een zwendel bedacht met een reisverzekering waarmee ze in één klap uit de schulden zouden zijn. Maar daarvoor moet het gezin per vliegtuig naar New York en die reis verloopt niet zoals Old Dolio had verwacht.
