Eeuwige dagdromer Mel kan niet wachten om haar waardeloze cateringbaan op te zeggen en naar haar droombestemming te vliegen: Portugal. Dingen veranderen wanneer de mooie Jenny letterlijk in haar leven crasht wanneer Mel haar bijna overrijdt in haar klassieke BMW. Het is liefde op het eerste gezicht, maar er is maar één probleem: Jenny gaat er ten onrechte van uit dat Mel een jongen is. Desondanks wordt het paar vriend en vriendin. Terwijl Mel bij elke bocht haar ware geslacht probeert te verhullen, is haar reis van tomboy naar lesbienne beladen met levensbepalende dilemma's en zoete verrassingen.


