In een parallelle wereld is alles hetzelfde als in de onze op één cruciaal verschil na: niemand liegt. Geen leugentjes om bestwil, geen fraude, geen groots opgezette verhalen..zelfs louter het concept van een leugen bestaat niet. Advocaten, politici, gladde reclame boys...iedereen spreekt de waarheid en niets dan de waarheid. In deze wereld is er dus ook geen plaats voor religie, tact of fictie. Voor scenarist Mark Bellison is dat hele non-fictie gedoe knap vervelend: schrijf maar eens een boeiend verhaal waarin alles waar moet zijn. Op het moment dat zijn carrière een dieptepunt bereikt heeft en ook zijn amoureuze avonturen mislopen, ontdekt hij iets geheel ongekend: hij leert te liegen. Een hele wereld gaat voor hem open. Meer nog: de wereld ligt al snel aan zijn voeten en beschouwen hem als de messias. Mark beseft dat zijn gave hem kan helpen de vrouw van zijn dromen te veroveren...
