Omdat ze ongelooflijk veel van hun ernstig zieke moeder houden, besluit deze bijzondere familie om haar een fantastisch afscheidscadeau te geven. Een ontmoeting met Dave, de zanger en haar idool in hoogst eigen persoon.
Maar dit buitengewone project is misschien een beetje te ambitieus voor deze familie, die al jaren in stilte en met vele onuitgesproken conflicten leeft.
Zal de liefde voor hun moeder en de kracht van opnieuw versterkte familiebanden hen voldoende moed geven om hun doel te bereiken ?
Samen zetten ze hun schouders onder het plan dat echter een onverwachte wending neemt ... ze ontvoeren Dave !
